The Design
This sheer size of the dual extensions made this project more complex, as it pushed the building’s footprint out and into the close vicinity of several large trees nearby that were to remain.
The softer clay ground also added another level of complexity to take into consideration with a careful and intricate foundation design.
For simplicity, the new structure was made from lightweight steel framework, which is easy to work and cost effective for the application.
