Andrea Hoffman - BEng (Hons) MPhil - Director
AH Structural Design was established in 2015 by Andrea Hoffman BEng (Hons) MPhil, who has over 10 years experience in the field of structural engineering. Andrea developed a passion for design and architecture early on, which blossomed whilst studying at Cardiff University, where she gained a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
Credentials in both architecture and engineering allowed Andrea’s career to progress quickly, and within five years she had become a Senior Structural Engineer, having worked at some of London’s leading structural engineering consultancy practices, including Barton Engineers, Price & Myers and Thomasons, managing projects totalling over £100 million.
Jinny Moggridge - Secretary
Jinny is a vital member of the team that ensures we are able to maintain the high level of communication that is expected of a professional company such as AH Structural Design.
Thanks to her organised approach, experience in the field and professional attitude, Jinny ensures a steady line of communication so we are able to liaise quickly and efficiently between both clients and contractors.
John Turner - CAD Designer
John is a critical and crucial part of the business and helps in the management of workflow for CAD requirements on each project. He prides himself in the delivery of projects ahead of timescales and works closely with Andrea to manage client expectations.
John has been working in the industry for nearly 50 years, having started out as Junior Structural Draughtsman and working his way up to a Senior Structural Technician.
During his career, he was employed by several large industry specialists and has helped on all kinds of projects from structural steelwork for a two-storey shopping centre to a new build seven storey residential building with a basement. More recently, John was entrusted to work on the refurbishment and building extensions of several NHS Hospitals.
